Presented by the Walkley Foundation and the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance, the event is aimed at budding freelancers and boasts an impressive lineup of guest speakers including journalist Tracey Spicer.
Now, event organiser Susan Bell is calling on local artists to help “dress up” Launceston’s Enterprize building, which will host the event on May 1 and 2.
“Ideally we are after a pop-up gallery to help transform the building ahead of the festival,” she said.
“Enterprize is a great space, but we want to jazz it up a little bit. Plus it would be great exposure for a local artist to get their work out there.”
It really is the type of event that could put Launceston on the map in a whole new way.

Featuring speakers, panel discussions and workshops, Ms Bell said the festival would be an “unmissable opportunity” for established and emerging freelancers.
“This isn’t just an event for writers,” she said.
“Anyone with an interest in freelancing I think would really benefit from this, including businesses. It really is the type of event that could put Launceston on the map in a whole new way.”
