More than 200 people settled on the grass clearing to watch as the Bard’s classic love tale was brought to life with a modern retelling.
Directions Theatre Company was behind the performance, which was the 18th of its kind to be held at Delamere.
Considered one of William Shakespeare’s most popular plays, Romeo and Juliet is about two star-crossed lovers from feuding families.
Despite the tragic nature of the play, humour was a part of Sunday’s interpretation, which featured everything from utes to house music.
The title roles were played by Victoria Bremner and Gilbert Williams, who both turned in gripping performances.
Delamere Vineyards is located at 4238 Bridport Road, Pipers Brook.
