The modern take on the Shakespeare classic will be set at the picturesque Pipers Brook vineyard and cellar door sales manager Alice Cooksley said it was the perfect pre-vintage event.
“This is just a really fun, family friendly evening that people can enjoy in a beautiful setting,” she said.
“This will be the 18th production held at Delamere and it’s always very popular.
“It is our busiest time of year and it brings everyone together for a bit of a celebration which is nice.”
Production director CJ Bowers said the classic love story resonated with many audiences.
“Romeo and Juliet is the love story that people return to again and again,” he said.
“The passion and energy within the play has always felt fresh and contemporary.”
Ms Cooksley said Delamere’s 2018 vintage would begin on Tuesday and it was shaping up to be an excellent year.
“All signs are pointing to an outstanding vintage,” she said.
“It was a particularly tough one last year, but fortunately the weather has been on our side this time around.”
Sunday’s performance will begin at 4pm with the audience encouraged to bring along their own picnic.
