This experience is part of a brand-new Effervescence Tasmania event, called the Tamar Experience.
Sales and Marketing Manager at Josef Chromy Wines David Milne said the event’s aim was to get people into the beautiful wineries of the Tamar Valley.
“We want Tasmanian sparkling wine to be the focus. We definitely want more people to experience it,” Mr Milne said.
“An event that we ran for the first time was the Tamar Experience, where they can go into the vineyards and taste wine.
“Getting people up into the Delamere vineyard was a great experience, as it’s a smaller, family-run vineyard,” he said, “It was great for people to get to see their wine-making process.”
On the final day of the Effervescence, the Tamar Experience took guests on a journey to some of the best sparkling wine, food, and landscapes to be found in the Tamar Valley.
The experience took guests to visit Jansz, Clover Hill, and Delamere wineries, where they could sit back, relax, and soak up the sun rays while enjoying a glass of wine.
Coming in the end of this year’s festival, Mr Milne said that Effervescence continues to get bigger each year.
“A lot of people are travelling from all over Tasmania and from interstate.
“The festival keeps getting larger and larger,” he said
“The events sold out quickly this year, such as the Masterclasses.
“We have an emphasis on ensuring that Masterclasses are engaging and educational, not intimidating,” Mr Milne said.
”People are already talking about next year’s festival, so at this stage it looks like everyone will sign up,” Mr Milne said.
The Effervescence Tasmanian Sparkling Wine Festival ran from November 15-19.
