Hobart-born artist and singer Roberta McGregor said she had decided to stage the wrapping, which was undertaken by professional riggers, as a preview to International Peace Day on September 21.
"The idea to wrap a building came about when I was at art school - I always wanted to wrap a building because I wanted to make people think about different things," Mrs McGregor said. "When you create an illusion, it gets people thinking outside their own experience and perceptions. This makes people feel good and creates an experience."
