Mr Hyatt failed to show up to a court hearing in Launceston on Monday.
He was due to face six counts of common assault, which he previously pleaded not guilty to.
Six witnesses waited in the back of the court on Monday, but Mr Hyatt did not appear.
The witnesses were excused by Magistrate Sharon Cure, who said it was “unfortunate” and “very inconvenient”.
