The Fingal District Progress Committee applied for a grant and used the funds to build an educational children’s bike track.
Committee member Renee Woods said the track was nearly completed and had all the markings of a real road.
“It’s got some of the features of everyday roads, like zebra crossings, signs and roundabouts,” she said.
“It’s coming along nicely and we’re pretty pleased with it. I think the kids will be rapt with it.”
The track is made materials to aid in soft falls.
The playground is expected to be officially opened in June.
The committee had extra funds and were able to also revamp the sand pit at the local primary school.
