Northbourne Park Association chairman Robin Thompson said guests received a tour of the village, with opportunities to inspect units and chat with some of the residents.
“People who live there are very happy they moved, and say it’s something they should have done a lot earlier,” Mr Thompson said.
“The earlier people transition, the easier it is.”
He said the facility is community owned, not-for-profit, and run by a voluntary board.
Mr Thompson said Northbourne Park has 67 units and about 90 residents who all enjoy living in the park-like garden setting of the village.
