A free event will be held on Friday, August 26, between 5.30pm and 8.30pm to mark the completion of the project, and will include a pop-up bar, live music, late-night shopping, and more. Further celebrations will be held on Saturday with sausage sizzles, entertainment and bargains in participating stores.
The mall redevelopment is the first major public space redevelopment undertaken as part of the Launceston City Heart Project.
Launceston City Heart Project chairman Alderman Darren Alexander said he was delighted to see development applications being lodged for new businesses in the Quadrant Mall.
"One of the goals of the Launceston City Heart Project is to spur private investment, and it's fantastic to see business owners undertaking their own upgrades and new business ideas being discussed for the Quadrant Mall," he said.
"This is going to be a fantastic space for Launceston, particularly as we head into the warmer months.”
