The theatre hosted a celebration earlier this month to officially unveil the new seating and thank those who sponsored the refit.
Deloraine Dramatic Society treasurer Catherine Smith said the project had been the result of a collaboration between a number of community groups including the Meander Valley Council and the local wood shed.
"It's been quite a few months in the making of everyone working together - the highlight of the whole project was all the support from the community," Ms Smith said.
The refurbishment has also allowed for developers to improve the flexibility of the theatre space.
“Because the space that the seats are used in often gets used for other activities like the craft fair, they need to be moved around a bit and the other seats were quite heavy and cumbersome when we were moving them.
"We've reconfigured them so we've cut the bases down, bought new timber and joined them back up together in sets of three.”
