Officers will host the mobile firearm amnesty on Friday, November 27, between 10am and 3pm, at the Scottsdale Recreation Ground.
There will be no penalty or charges for illegal gun or ammunition possession and anyone with unwanted, unregistered or illegal firearms or ammunition can surrender them at the event.
All items will be accepted by police without question and be destroyed.
A permanent firearm amnesty exists in Tasmania, meaning residents can surrender their firearms at any time and at any station around the state.
A successful amnesty was held at Longford earlier this month, where about 100 guns were surrendered along with more than 1000 rounds of ammunition.
Residents from across the wider north-east are encouraged to dispose of unwanted, unregistered or illegal firearms or ammunition at the event.
