Commercial, industrial, primary production, vacant commercial and service charges have all risen by 2per cent.
The rate rises are comparable to Break O'Day's 6 per cent increase, which it approved earlier last month.
Glamorgan-Spring Bay Mayor Bertrand Cadart welcomed the rise.
"We maintained a ceiling of $20, no matter what the value of the property is," he said.
"My personal comment, but not every councillor will agree with it, is that we have a genius general manager as far as finance and financial management is concerned.
"We have got a general manger that is second-to-none."
Tip fees have also risen in Glamorgan Spring Bay, with the cost for garbage dumping rising from $18 to $20 per cubic metre.
Building permit extension fees have decreased from $120 to $50.
Dog registration fees will stay the same this year, with decreased fees for those who pay before the end of August.
Cost for a dog will be $20 before August 31 and $40 after.
A desexed dog will cost $10 before August 31 and $20 after.
Dogs owned by a pensioner will be $5 before the end of August and $10 after.
Property rates can be paid in four instalments.
A discount of 2.5 per cent will be given if rates are paid by August 1.For more details about rates visit the Glamorgan Spring Bay website or ring the council on 62564777.
