The Devil State Derby League will host two games at the Westbury Sports Centre _ with a focus on the activity's youth.
Junior coach Nicole Wiseman said roller derby was becoming increasing popular in Tasmania with four leagues now established.
Competitors aged from six to 17 had their final training session at Mowbray last night.
``They will be black and white games, which are a chance for all our local players to have a go,'' she said.
``Now we are including our kids as well, roller derby is growing every year.
``Boys get to play AFL and all sorts of contact sports but for girls there is nothing really offering full contact that they are allowed to get involved in.
``It is full contact and just because the girls are young, we don't exclude them from it and they go just as hard as any adult.
``It's not something people can just turn up and do, it actually takes quite a lot of training.''
The juniors' match starts at 5pm and seniors will begin at 7pm.
