Tasmania had 200 more vacancies that month than the six months before but 200 less vacancies than the previous November.
There were 1600 private sector vacancies last November and 300 public sector vacancies.
New South Wales had the greatest number of job vacancies for November at 48,000, followed by Victoria with 30,700 vacancies and Queensland with 29,900 vacancies.
In terms of industry vacancies nationwide, there were
- 4700 mining vacancies;
- 16,600 retail vacancies;
- 17,600 hospitality vacancies;
- 13,300 vacancies in health care and social assistance;
- 6100 manufacturing vacancies;
- 16,200 vacancies in professional scientific and support services;
