A 21-year-old Mowbray man is in a critical condition in the Royal Hobart Hospital after losing control of his Harley Davidson on the Bass Highway near Travellers Rest last night.

Police say no other vehicles were involved in the accident and speed is believed to be a factor.
The accident happened just before midnight.
Northern Crash Investigation Services are asking that anyone who may have seen the motor cycle travelling on the Bass Highway between Elizabeth Town and Travellers Rest between 11.30pm and midnight last night to call Tasmania Police on 131 444 or contact the Launceston Police Station.
