"If you haven't noticed, it is raining outside," Tasmania Police said at 12.21pm on April 7.
"Roads are wet and slippery."
"Please drive to the conditions."
They commented after a single-vehicle crash on the East Derwent Highway at the exit of the S bends at the entrance to Old Beach.
"Motorists are requested to slow down in the area or avoid the area until the crash is cleared," police said.
Just 41 minutes earlier, police issued details of another crash in the South.
That crash, at Bridgewater, was being treated as serious.
