RSPCA's Launceston Animal Care Centre manager Lorraine Hamilton said the shelter was brimming with adult cats and kittens patiently awaiting a new home.
``The best thing is they come desexed, vaccinated and micro-chipped, and ready to love,'' Mrs Hamilton said.
``In March, we had 77 cats and kittens adopted, which is almost double the regular number.
``We'd love it if April could match that number.
``After all, the more animals we find loving homes for, the more animals in need we are able to take care of.''
There are more than 100 furry felines ready for adoption at the RSPCA's Launceston shelter.
