"If you think you've seen Shyanne, report it," Inspector Craig Fox said on Thursday.
"We don't mind looking down holes that don't eventuate into anything, that's our job.
"So if you think you've seen her, if you think you've got some information about it, pass it on."
This comes after police paused their search efforts around the North Esk River.
The rescue helicopter made another sweep of the area on Wednesday, which Inspector Fox said unfortunately hadn't delivered any results.
"We're satisfied that we've done absolutely all we can to search those waterways," he said.
"We've spoken to the family to let them know that we're pausing that search effort, they understand why. It's still a very, very distressing time for them."
He stressed the investigation wasn't stopping.
Inspector Fox said they were investigating every piece of information that came through.
"We want to find Shyanne alive, safe and well. As time goes on, we have some really serious concerns for her safety - there's no shying away from that," he said.
"It would be nice to get some closure and information for the family."
He said a glimmer of hope could still be drawn from where the investigation was at so far.
Police investigations is primarily focusing on forensics sampling coming back.
Last week, there was an appeal for witnesses or drivers in the vicinity of the North Esk River between the hours of 8pm and 9pm on Sunday, April 30. Inspector Fox said they were still urging anyone who hasn't already done so, to come forward.
Anyone with information that will assist the investigation should contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers Tasmania - information can be provided anonymously.
