Dressed in all black and walking with a limp, the former St Michael's Collegiate science and mathematics teacher fronted the Hobart Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.
Bester is charged with three counts of using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence, and pleaded not guilty to all three charges.
He was convicted in 2011 for sexually abusing a then 15-year old Ms Tame, and sentenced to jail for two years and 10 months.
In 2016, he returned to jail after being convicted of producing child exploitation material, which referenced Ms Tame.
Court documents state that the latest charges against him relate to posts made on Twitter on April 27, July 21, and August 28 in 2022.
