Based in Kingston, the pair are among a group of seven trampolinists from around the country to be selected for the event in Rimini, Italy from May 27-29.
The selections mark the first Tasmanians to compete at the level since Launceston's Jack Penny retired in 2017 after 17 years of competition.
It will also be French and Schluter's first senior World Cup event, having competed at the World Age Championships in 2018 and 2019 as juniors.
The event will serve as a developmental opportunity leading into 2022 World Championships being held in Sofia, Bulgaria in November where Australia is intending to compete in the individual and the teams events.
The pair's preparation for their Italian journey will be helped by the newly-appointed coach for Trampoline Gymnastics in Australia, Jarrod Heriot.
Heriot began a three-day stint in Tasmania on Friday, assisting state coach Ben Kelly with the training program in Kingborough, providing valuable insight to French and Schluter as well as the Tasmanian team who will compete at next month's Australian Championships.
Heriot previously worked with Gymnastics New Zealand and Kiwi trampolinist Dylan Schmidt.
