The man charged with murder and attempted murder over a stabbing in Ravenswood in November pleaded not guilty in the Launceston Magistrates Court.
Kerry Lee Whiting, 44, of Waverley, pleaded not guilty through defence counsel Olivia Jenkins to the murder of a man and the attempted murder of a 36-year-old woman at a house on November 25.

Mr Whiting, who appeared by video, also pleaded not guilty to a count of aggravated burglary of the house in Prossers Forest Road.
Whiting's only utterances were to confirm his name and that he had understood the proceedings.
Magistrate Sharon Cure remanded him in custody to reappear in the Supreme Court for trial on January 31, 2022.
She granted an application for an interim family violence order brought by Tasmania Police.
Last week Mr Whiting could not be coaxed from his cell for a video appearance and the matter was adjourned until Monday.
