A victory at Clarence on the final day of the season saw the Roos double their 2021 points tally and avoid the ignominy of going through an entire campaign without singing the club song.
Alex Gaetani said there had been a "really positive reaction" to his reappointment as head coach but admitted the Windsor Park club is facing some tough decisions in the off season.
"We're very much together but certainly need some help and support for me as a coach," he said.
"We need more resources to be at the level of other clubs. We need to strengthen the team with experienced players because we have lost so many over the last 12 months.
"We simply need to take action."
Scoring goals was not the main headache for Olympic. With Fletcher Fulton leading the way on 10 from 18 appearances, a team tally of 29 matched that of sixth-placed Olympia and exceeded the 26 of fifth-placed Launceston City.
However, a goals against figure of 82 averaged out to nearly four per game and produced a goal difference twice as severe as any other club.
As a result, Gaetani said Olympic will be on the lookout for new recruits, hoping to land some experienced imports like silky Spaniard Nil Sanz, who had a superb 2019 season before moving interstate, and Argentine defensive midfielder Luca Vigilante, who is expected to return home after two seasons with the club.
Sanz, goalkeeper Jarrod Hill and midfielder Liam Gilmore all departed at the end of last season and ended up sharing a house together in Melbourne but left a huge void down the spine of the NPL side, especially with centre-back Aaron Kidmas also moving on.

"We will be looking to recruit players," Gaetani said.
"We need someone to help Fletcher in the scoring and we need some defensive players and we're committed to doing what we can to get those."
Fulton, a fearless front-runner who joined Olympic having played all his junior soccer at Launceston United, is a good chance to claim back-to-back player of the year awards but may be moving away from Launceston next season.
"Fletcher might be studying elsewhere but I don't think we'll lose too many. We also have a list of players we want to talk to. I would not be here if that was not the case because myself and the players cannot do much more than we have been.
"We are very down on what a club needs to be a successful NPL club and we need to commit to that."
