After the Cats kicked the opening goal of the game, it was one-way traffic for the rest of the afternoon as Maverick Weller's side controlled the midfield battle and continually had the ball in their half of the ground.
Weller himself was one of the main instigators of the 16.9 (105) to 6.4 (40) result, kicking three goals in the first quarter on his way to five for the game, while the competition's leading goalkicker, Jack Templeton, added three goals.
Five goals in each of the first two quarters helped Penguin establish a 46-point advantage by the main break, and the minor premiers showed no mercy to Wynyard in the second half, extending the margin to 52 points at three-quarter time before adding a further four goals to two in the final term.
After falling to the Magpies last week by nine points the in second semi-final, the Two Blues will now take some great momentum into the decider as they try and win their first NWFL senior premiership.
"There were a few guys who lowered their colours last week and needed to rectify that, so the way we responded was pleasing," Weller said.
Dylan Bramich, Luke Russell, Jay Van Essen and Dusten O'Neil were all key contributors to the result for Penguin, while Tylor Bakes, coach Beau Sharman and Jameson Forman all tried hard for the Cats.
Penguin is also through to the reserves grand final after holding out Wynyard 7.9 (51) to 4.8 (32), and will meet Devonport again, while the under 18s decider will be between Devonport and Burnie after the Dockers kicked seven goals in the final term to overrun Latrobe 11.8 (74) to 8.7 (55).
