The program is delivered over one year and is targeted towards emerging and established leaders wanting to fast-track their leadership and skillset through learning experiences.
The course, now recruiting for its 16th year, includes multi-day workshops, linking sessions, and projects. However, the content changes depending on what is happening around the world.
Chief executive Angela Driver said a key component of the program's success was diversity.
"Being exposed to other participants' backgrounds and experiences offer fresh learning and challenging new insights across a wide range of exciting issues critical to Tasmania's future," she said.
This year, the program is offering scholarships such as the Select Foundation Tasmanian Leaders Program Scholarship - which provides full funding for a Tasmanian who identifies as living with a disability - and a scholarship for an emerging Aboriginal leader.
Disability education advocate and 2021 Tasmanian Leaders Program participant Kristen Desmond wanted to work on developing her confidence and growing her network which is why she applied for the program.
"The Tasmanian Leaders Program also provides a great opportunity for a Tasmanian with a disability to engage and network with other high potential Tasmanian leaders," she said.
"It is a truly inclusive program and I would strongly encourage leaders living with disability in Tasmania to apply."
Ms Desmond said it was important those living with a disability could share their voice and recognise they could also be leaders.
"I am hoping [participants] will take away a better understanding of themselves, what leadership means to them and how they can use their skills ... but I think they will also take away an enormously supportive network of people," she said.
The program is best suited towards those with some management experience or in the sectors of government, business, and not-for-profits. However, Ms Driver said anyone with the potential to influence Tasmania's future should apply.
"We firmly believe we need leadership at all levels who can steer us towards a brighter and more successful future in Tasmania," she said.
Applications close on October 1 and an information session will be held on August 31. For more information on scholarships available visit tasmanianleaders.org.au.
