"He told police that he injected ice with a syringe into the crook of his elbow," Mr Fawdrey said.
The court heard that he bought five points of ice at a time at a cost of $300 sometimes supplying two points to friends.
In a separate raid on June 14 police seized drugs and several bongs for using cannabis.
He had been a drug addict for ten years and had arrived in Tasmania six years ago to look after his mother.
Defence counsel Andrew Lonergan said Dhillon had no prior offences.
He said it had been eight days since Dhillon used drugs.
Magistrate Sharon Cure said it was always concerning when someone had a drug addiction.
She fined him $1200 and disqualified him from driving for six months-three months on each count of driving with a prescribed illicit drug in his system.
