But, it is not the only area to flood in the past seven days.
It was only last weekend when the Meander River broke its banks at Deloraine, with locals waking to find water flooding a playground and edging towards properties on River Road.
Of course, it is not the first time the Meander River has flooded - nor Cataract Gorge.
In fact, the first basin was inundated with flood waters in June forcing Launceston's Winter Solstice Swim to relocate and in March, which was the talk of the town.
