A Flinders Island man has died seven weeks after a serious crash left him hospitalised.

The 33-year-old had been at the Launceston General Hospital since May 11, after hitting gravel and rolling his car several times on Wingaroo Road near Markana Park.
He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Volunteers from Ambulance Tasmania, State Emergency Service, and Tasmania Fire Service were all called to the scene.

The man was taken by ambulance to Whitemark Hospital, before being transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital by helicopter.
He was later transferred to the LGH where he remained until Monday, when he died.
"Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and loved ones of the man," police said in a statement on Tuesday.
