Second on the ladder after three straight wins, the Roos regain Josh Green (hamstring) but lose Ollie Davis (SANFL) for Saturday's home clash with the unbeaten Launceston.

No side has come within nine goals of the reigning premiers this season and Roos coach Jeromey Webberley says it's not hard to explain why.

"Clearly Launceston is by far the best team in the competition at the moment so we're really excited to get them down home and give them hopefully a really solid test," Webberley said.

"I think it's multiple things you have to get right to beat them - they score from turnovers, they score from stoppage, their mids kick goals, they've got a dangerous forward line.

"For us it's about bringing pressure and intent to the contest, that's kept us in games and won us games this year so that's what we have to do.

"At the moment you've just got to do everything really well against them, there's no specific weakness I can see so I think that's what makes this game really exciting is we get to actually see where we're at.

"If we win, great, because we know Launceston will improve ... if we get beaten, we know exactly where we have to improve so I think it's come at the right time for us and we're excited for the opportunity."

Best on ground in last weekend's win over Kingborough, Davis has joined a number of former Tassie Devils teammates in the SANFL.

Webberley is unsure whether the 18-year-old will play again for Clarence this season.

"Fingers crossed he's playing in the SANFL this weekend for Adelaide.

"Ollie's gone over for a mid-season draft spot - I know he trained with the Crows Tuesday and I think he raised some eyebrows to be honest with how far he's come in the last 12 months.

"We wish him all the best - we want Ollie Davis to get drafted and have a 10-year career in the AFL, so fingers crossed for him that it works over the next five or six weeks."
