The Liberal party has committed $18,000 towards infrastructure upgrades for the Longford Show Society if re-elected.
The funding will provide "much needed" upgrades to the toilet amenities, that are around 50 years old, as well as added security.
Incumbent Lyons MHA Mark Shelton said it would not just benefit showgoers, but all community members who use the facilities.
"Our commitment will also enable the show to install security cameras and appropriate remote monitoring which will reduce instances of vandalism," he said.
"The cameras will also help to keep the public safe when they are attending events, and makes it more appealing to groups who require overnight storage of equipment for competitions and events.
"I recognise the importance of supporting communities like Longford, and I look forward to delivering these important projects as part of our plan to secure Tasmania's future".
