Alene Kieser, through her exhibition Islands in Lockdown, takes art lovers on a scenic view of some of the best landscapes and seascapes found in the North.
"Tasmania is so fortunate and so lucky to have such magnificent scenery around us. We are spoilt," she said.
"I feel very privelidged to be able to put paint on canvas, or on board in this particular instance."
IN OTHER NEWS:
The artist worked with oil on board for the exhibition, instead of the usual choice of canvas.
"I think it's the peace and tranquility that I felt when I was actually working with the board [instead of canvas]," Kieser said.
"[The art] is really about the feelings of the scenery around me."
The exhibition includes 28 pieces of art, with some only completed within weeks of the deadline.
There are also figurative work and animal pieces hanging on the walls, amongst the landscape art from the Kieser.
"[The exhibition] was fun, it was inspiring, it was challenging," she said.
Kieser said all the frames surrounding the artworks were from Indigenous Tasmanian wood.
Five of the works have been sold so far.
The work is on show at Windsor Gallery from March 1 until April 9.
