
A deliberately lit fire at a North East harvesting business has caused almost $3 million in damages.
Police are investigating after machinery at the Tulendeena site was damaged and then set alight overnight, causing a nearby vegetation fire.
It is understood someone, or a group of people, entered the site between 6pm Thursday and 3.30am Friday.
Tasmania Fire Service extinguished the fire, with investigators determining it was deliberately lit.
Damage is estimated at around $2.9 million.
