Polling shows opposition to Spirit of Tasmania catamaran proposal

SHIP VERDICT: A new poll, commissioned by Tourism Industry Council Tasmania chief executive Luke Martin (pictured), has revealed a majority of Tasmanians want the Spirit of Tasmania ferries to be replaced with new monohull vessels.

New polling commissioned by the state's peak tourism industry body shows a vast majority of Tasmanians support the ageing Spirit of Tasmania ferries being replaced with two new monohull vessels - while community opposition to a catamaran proposal is also apparent.
