A Queenslander has been charged for allegedly refusing to wear a face mask at Launceston Airport.

Tasmania police were called to the airport about 2pm yesterday after receiving reports of a woman, who refused to wear a mask despite being instructed to do so.
The police spokesperson said the woman in her 40s was arrested and charged with a number of offences.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The offences include assaulting a police officer, failing to comply with the public health direction and disorderly conduct.
The wearing of face masks has been mandatory at all Tasmanian airports for anyone aged 12 and over since January 22.
Police have already issued fines for separate incidents of travellers refusing to wear a mask.
