Electronic payment services have been restored at multiple car parks in the city centre.
Earlier today, drivers were told to bring cash after a credit card outage impacting parking machines at its Paterson Street West, Paterson Street East and Elizabeth Street multi-storey car park.
EARLIER:
Launceston council have asked people parking in the city centre to bring cash after a credit card failure impacted its parking machines this morning.
The council stated that the Paterson Street West, Paterson Street East and Elizabeth Street multi-storey car parks will only accept cash because of a mastercard and visa outage.
IN OTHER NEWS:
In a Facebook post, they asked commuters planning to park at these locations to bring cash because payment by card will not be accepted until the outage is rectified.
The council assured that all other council car parks have not been impacted by the outage.
Drivers could continue to use the EasyPark app on their mobile phones.
