It'll be a blooming good time at the Launceston Horticultural Society's Summer Show, with plenty of beautiful flowers to make even the worst green-thumb appreciate nature's gifts.
The show will be the first in 12 months for the society.
Tuberous begonias grower Peter Bugg said he had been growing for about 30 years and was still learning, but couldn't wait for the judges to see them.
"[Begonias] are fascinating things. It was just a hobby that became an obsession," he said.
Mr Bugg found his love for the flower when he first saw them at the Botanical Gardens.
"They are naturally magnificent things," he said.

Not over watering the flower is key according to Mr Bugg.
"People get them and tend to baby them a bit."
LHS president Noel Button said there would be a mix of flowers, rare bulbs, and spring bulbs at the show as well as native plants, succulents and a small vegetable section.
"We will have nine different specialist plant exhibitors at the show," he said.
"We have exhibitors coming from all over the state."
The event will be held at Evandale Memorial Hall from 2-5pm on February 6 and 10am-4pm on February 7.
It will be a $3 entry and there will be coffee and food available on site.
