As is tradition on a hot day in Launceston, hordes flocked to Cataract Gorge to enjoy a swim or sun bake.
Temperatures soared above 30 degrees celsius and the mercury was already bubbling before lunch time.

Families frolicked and friends submerged themselves in the cool water of the Gorge and the Gorge pool, while others chose to make the most of the cafe and playground.
