A girl has died after falling about 10 metres down a cliff in the Sand River conservation area at Buckland.

The child was walking along the edge of the clifftop when she slipped and fell.
CPR was administered, but the child died at the scene.
The girl was from Victoria and was visiting Tasmania with her siblings. Police said her parents have been informed.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter and police units from Sorell and Orford responded to the scene, which is not accessible by road.
Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident, to assist in preparing a report for the Coroner. Please contact Tasmania Police on 131 444.
