Put on your boots and slide into your best band shirts because A Day at the Creek will be back in 2021.
The event, held on the lawns of Mole Creek Hotel, hosts some of the best tribute bands around.
Co-proprietor of Mole Creek Hotel Doug Westbrook said he was very happy with the line up for 2021 which included The Wolfe Brothers, James Blundell, Khe Sanh, The Blues Brothers Revival, and Boil Up.
He said Tasmanians have been hugely supportive, and noted plenty of people in the south of the state were also travelling up for the event.
"When you get so many people coming just for the weekend, it really boosts the economy for the whole Meander area.
"It's wonderful to see the people. The baby boomers, when you get 2000 people having a good time, it's just wonderful."
In other news:
Mr Westbrook said they were fortunate they had such a big space with the hotel lawns to be able to spread people out for COVID-19 safety precautions.
"We will have restrictions in place and we are very fortunate we have a big area."
However, there were worries earlier on the event would not be able to go ahead due to COVID-19.
"We still have a couple of months to go but we are believing that Tasmania will hold the line and keep going pretty well," Mr Westbrook said.
The festival also acts as a fundraiser for both Rotary Tasmania and Cancer Council Tasmania. The organisers of the event hope to raise $50,000.
"I just think its a very essential part of Tasmania's make up. We have to support these groups [both groups struggling and organisations helping] and it's wonderful to be able to do that now," Mr Westbrook said.
The event will run from March 5-7, 2021. Tickets can be purchased via adayatthecreek.com.au.
