Cyrus weighed about 44 kg while his sister Bonnie clocked in at 55 kg.
Now after a healthy diet and some much needed excercise the pair are ready to find their forever home.
In other news:
With the help of NEAST the pair have lost 11.4 kg and 13.3 kg respectively.
NEAST co-manager Megan Barker said the dogs had completely changed since losing the weight.
"It has taken years off Cyrus's life, he is a bouncy boy now, ... he has got more pep in his step," she said.

"Bonnie when she came to us literally couldn't stand for any short of duration of time. She was so heavy she couldn't bare her own weight.
"Bonnie now runs. She runs around in her run and plays with Cyrus. She is definitely a different dog."
Ms Barker said it was rewarding to see how the dogs had changed after losing the weight.
"Bonnie obviously was [in] a much worse situation than what Cyrus was, she had a lot more weight to lose, and she was just distressed," she said.

"Whenever she was stimulated at all ... she was happy to see you but she was distressed because she couldn't greet you the way a normal healthy dog could. She literally just had to roll on her back and ask you rub her tummy.
"Now she is jumping up and down at the fence, barking at visitors and doing all those normal dog things. It is really, really nice to see the change in her."
The weight loss was achieved by feeding the dogs a special diet donated by Hills Pet Nutrition.
Ms Barker said the community support for the dogs had been amazing and thanked everyone who helped out.
