Mr Skillern has held his position for six years, but has been a member of the TFGA for eight years.
He will finish up in the role in March and a replacement has already been advertised. Mr Skillern took on the CEO role in March 2015 following Jan Davis's departure.

Immediately before taking on the chief executive role, Mr Skillern has spent two years as the association's policy and advocacy manager.
He also held executive positions with Environment Tasmania and the Liberal Party, and runs a prime lamb property at Campania.
