The Tasmanian Breath of Fresh Air Film Festival will hold three festivals next year with one in Hobart from May 28-30, one in Launceston from April 30-May 2, and a free festival online from May 3-30.
Tasmanian BOFA Film Festival director Owen Tilbury said the choice to offer an online festival again after this year's move to online due to the pandemic had been decided from the overwhelming positive feedback on survey forms.
"The feedback we had from the online festival was that people loved being able to watch movies in the comfort of their own home but they missed the personal interaction with people," he said.
In other news:
The cinema line up for online will be different to the line up at the physical festivals so if you want to spend one night in your pajamas at home and the next at a cinema with your friends, this festival will have you covered.
"It effectively means we have two different curated film festivals going on," Mr Tilbury said.
The film festival will also entertain other events such as art exhibitions, red carpet parties, and food and wine sensations.
A short film competition is also being negotiated.
Program announcements are expected February next year.
