The 10 and 11-year-old students stood at a lectern in front of some of the most imposing business representatives from the region and told them of their plans to feed the homeless, save native wildlife, raise money for at risk youth and everything in between.
Linken Hodge took to the floor to detail his elaborate idea to host an event at which attendees could complete a boot camp style course and raise money for JCP Empowering Youth.
Young Mr Hodge even got to present the idea to JCP Director Will Smith who was in attendance at the "shark tank".
Classmate Amahli Wells made a splash among the sharks with her presentation about making everyone happy through her Bigger Brighter idea.
"I'm going to make people happy and I'm going to spread it all around me," she said.
"Seeing that you have made someone laugh is a job well done but making them hold a smile for 30 seconds is a big achievement."
In terms of help from the sharks young Miss Wells was fairly confident in her plan.
"Some help ideas, well there wasn't really that much but I did want to spread it all around the world but I didn't know how," she said.
Teacher Kirsty Holmberg assembled the shark tank and said she was impressed, but not surprised by her students.
"I love how each project showed off the talents and skills of each person, whether it be art, humour, organisation," she said.
"The kids were really inspired and responded so positively to having a voice in making change and making impact."
"They all look up to Will Smith, the director of JCP youth, and he has inspired them to make positive impacts like he has to us. The kids were inundating me with new ideas daily, and I was so in awe of that that I thought they needed to be shared publicly."
As for what the future holds for her forward thinking students, Ms Holmberg said big things are in the pipeline.
"I am confident to report that I teach 16 kids who will be the most intelligent, caring, empathetic, sassy, outspoken future leaders and change-makers and they are exactly who the world needs right now," she said.
"This program has shown them that they can do anything they want in life, there are no limits if they put their mind to it, and that people will help them and listen if they put their ideas out there."
