Having defeated Hobart United at KGV on Saturday, City face another artificial surface at Warrior Park after Wednesday's draw delivered a semi-final away to Olympia.
With the final also likely to be at KGV, coach Roger Hardwicke said his players will need to adapt to the alternative turf war.
"We like to play the ball on the deck and know you can on an artificial pitch so we're not really that upset," he said.
On a dramatic day for Tasmanian soccer off the pitch, Riverside Olympic landed another home tie in the under-20 cup while South Hobart and Kingborough were told they must replay their Lakoseljac Cup quarter-final following an administrative team sheet error.
Responding to the developments, Hardwicke added: "We are just happy to be one of the four - sorry, five - teams still in the cup and pleased that we are still a chance to walk away with a trophy this season.
"Whoever we got was going to be tough. I'm sure we will be classed as underdogs so there will be no pressure. We just need to go and do the job like we did on the weekend and get through to the final."
With four home games plus visits to Riverside and Devonport, City will not face another trip south until the last round of the season with the cup semi a week later on October 31.
On the same day, Olympia will also be the opposition for Riverside who progressed to the under-20 semi-finals with a come-from-behind win over Devonport on Saturday.
The women's cup semi-finals are scheduled to take place on November 7 with the final a week later.
