Pat Lanau-Atkinson and Yitay Towns were mainstays of the club's State League heyday and have both returned to the red, white and blue in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, former Riverside junior Luke Eyles brings some mainland experience to the NTCA Ground while Victorian Premier League player Emma Langley has also returned for Ian Loft's women's team.
Unfortunately, Lanau-Atkinson's comeback was cut short by a season-ending knee injury.
But 21-year-old Towns came off the bench against Riverside a fortnight ago and is expected to continue to help the side's attempts to reclaim past glories with Eyles, 22, also likely to feature in Saturday's trip to Burnie United.
In 2015 Towns was named the Victory League's player of the season while Eyles claimed the competition's rising star award as part of Olympia's championship-winning team having moved to Hobart in 2012 to join the National Training Centre program.
The pair had previously played together in the Northern Tasmanian Junior Soccer Association academy team.
Launceston-born Eyles subsequently signed with South Melbourne and moved to the Victorian capital to continue playing and studying.
He made just one appearance for South's seniors, in a 10-0 demolition of Keysborough in the FFA Cup, helped Kingston City win the NPL2 Championship and has been with Dandenong City since 2017, but missed much of 2018 with a knee injury.
Since leaving Rangers, midfielder Towns has been with Avondale in NPL Victoria and even played against Devonport in the FFA Cup in 2018.
The arrivals are a significant boost for Fernando Munoz who has taken over as Rangers' coach having been an assistant to Rod Fulton in last season's title-winning campaign.
Beginning the season with five straight home games, Rangers sit fifth, two wins behind leaders Devonport, and the Chilean was minimising expectations after a 4-2 loss at Riverside.
I think this is season in transition
- Northern Rangers coach Fernando Munoz
"I think this is season in transition and 2021 will be a big season for us with many players in unders pass to championship and more original players come back," he said.
"We played five games home to begin so nearly all games away now.
"Rangers not play consistent. We are too slow in sending out the ball and when you make mistakes and other team has good players they will take those opportunities."
