A pedestrian has been taken to the Launceston General Hospital with minor injuries after being hit by a bus in the CBD on Thursday morning.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Charles and Elizabeth streets about 11.20am.
Police at the scene described the incident as "very minor" and that no serious injuries were expected.
The road was partially closed for about half an hour while the scene was cleared.
