Almost a century ago to this day, Launceston residents awoke to a city blanketed in snow.
The Examiner photographers - Phillip Biggs, Paul Scambler and Neil Richardson - went out on Wednesday to capture the special weather event through the lens.

Many readers also sent through photos of their backyards and streets covered in white.
There were about 50 requests of assistance by Tasmanians to the state emergency service.
