Ms McEvoy was Cityprom's member engagement and project manager for two years.
She will now helm the ship as the organisation, funded by a comulsory levy on businesses in the CBD, aims to achieve its mission of revitalising the city centre.
Cityprom chairperson Monica Plunkett said Ms McEvoy has been an integral part of the team that developed and launched Cityprom's new strategic direction in 2019.
"Cityprom has already benefited greatly from Amanda's corporate and business background, and we're excited about this next chapter," she said.
"Combined with her previous work for not-for profits, sales, and HR, Amanda brings to the role her skills in stakeholder management, marketing and promotions, along with her passion for all things Launceston.
Working alongside the existing, hardworking Cityprom team, we have full confidence in Amanda to see our continuing work and projects delivered."
