A Supreme Court jury has found a Launceston woman not guilty of punching her then boyfriend in the eye.
Nearly a dozen supporters of Lisa Maree Doolan gasped as the verdict was handed down and Ms Doolan wept in the dock.
The jury unanimously found Ms Doolan, 47, of Youngtown not guilty of causing grievous bodily harm to Shannon Watson in 2016.
On an alternative verdict of assault 10 or more jurors found Ms Doolan not guilty.
The jury of seven woman and five men took less than an hour to come to the verdict after resuming at 9.15 am on Wednesday.
Ms Doolan had pleaded not guilty to punching Mr Watson in the eye in a late night argument on June 5, 2016.
About a week before the argument incident Mr Watson had undergone a corneal transplant.
He had the eye removed in August 2016.
