LJ Hooker Launceston will donate its next East Tamar commission to a local fire brigade.
Director Justin Goebel said it was their way to give back.
"With the next commission on a property that's listed for sale along the East Tamar, the company commission will go towards a volunteer fire brigade," he said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"The commission could be anywhere from $5000 to $50,000 - it depends on the property.
"That's the vague range of what the outcome might be."
He said he was aware that not all funding provided to brigades can cover everything they need, and hoped that this donation could provide some support to our volunteer heroes.
"I was a volunteer in the fire brigade up there many years ago and now I don't have the time because I'm running the business," he said.
"I wanted to be able to help out somehow and this is how I and LJ Hooker can help out.
"It's good to be able to chip in and do something, and I'm in a position to be able to do that now and do our bit for our volunteer firies."
Mr Goebel said the fundraiser was open to any brigade, not just those along the East Tamar.
"It's open to any fire brigade out there," he said.
"If there's a brigade in say Nunamara or Pipers River that wants to get involved, they just need to contact myself and we can chuck up the company commission for them as well.
"Being a local person, I think to think that we can all contribute in some way to our little area."
