Woman charged with assault over alleged Tailrace attack

A 36-year-old woman was arrested and charged with assault on Sunday in relation to the incident which occurred just before 8pm.
The woman was the only person charged, and was released on bail to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on April 1.
The 28-year-old victim was four months pregnant and was attending a large family gathering at the time of the alleged assault.
